The creativity of NORD'N'COMMANDER are actuated by Indo-European roots. The band finds rhythmic and melodic orienting points just in them. The tough marching rhythms are Archetypes of Uebermensch’s Action. The style of album "Heavenly Barrow" is Gothic / Industrial. Gothic involves elevation of style which is expressed in doom and majestic sounds of keyboards, in something otherworldly, cold vocals. Besides Gothic is not only the historical notion but also the philosophical one. It’s the special condition of Spirit. The mission of thinking and conceiving modern people is to live in this technocratic "sub-civilization". Not only to exist passively in it, but subordinate it for themselves. If we’re here and now it’s not by accident. We have to be cultural and civilized simultaneously. This is the philosophical filling of the album. And thus some "industriality" is threaded with elevated gothic atmosphere. One can hear it quite clearly in guitar and drum sound. Creation like this is an active defence against metastases of degenerative world of the "poor in spirit". And the best defence is an onrush. In "Heavenly Barrow" there is the idea of City as a sacred centre which lives in harmony with nature and Man-Creator. Nordic Gods are breaking through the "civilization of machines and asphalt".
